The HIVE Pop Up Art Village & Lounge at Art Basel Miami Beach 2016
Art Basel, the world's premier modern and contemporary art fairs, is returning to Miami Beach to showcase the latest and wildest in arts and performances of all kinds.
Very popular with art lovers, collectors and resellers, Art Basel Miami Beach has confirmed year after year its status of not-to-miss art event in the Magic City.
Located in the heart of Wynwood, The HIVE Pop Up Art Village & Lounge is a self-described oasis to cool off away from the Art Basel art crowds, featuring art of course, including local street artists, but also food, music and homemade cocktails by some of Miami's finest bartenders.
Open all day and all night, and free for all, this is definitely the place to go after a long day of art viewing (but you may skip that part). Renowned Miami artists DJ Ariel Assault, DJ Kaos, and DJ Erwin such as will be spinning lounge music non stop, world famous artist Andrew Schoultz will present a skateboard-inspired experimental art area.
For cocktail lovers, The Bitter Truth's main purpose indeed, live cocktailing demonstrations and cocktailing demos will be offered from Thursday through Saturday, with Sunday culminating with a "mixology" contest Behind the Bar will let Miami's best cocktail bar tenders get it on, featuring Bitter Truth's own Brian Canales versus serious challengers such as Nicholas Mantzaridis (Beaker and Gray), Robert Calderon (Finka Table & Tap), “Lef” Kraounakis (Copper 29), Leo Holtzman (So Cal) and Michael Albeurne (The Local).
And if you ever get hungry between your Mai Tai and your Piña Colada, an army of food trucks will be on hand to satisfy all your urgent cravings!
