Basel House at Art Basel Miami Beach 2016
Art Basel, the world's premier modern and contemporary art fairs, is returning to Miami Beach to showcase the latest and wildest in arts and performances of all kinds.
Very popular with art lovers, collectors and resellers, Art Basel Miami Beach has confirmed year after year its status of not-to-miss art event in the Magic City.
A favorite amongst Art Basel Miami Beach's artists to chill out after a long harassing day, Basel House mixes art and music of all styles at The Bitter Truth bar in Midtown, and features live music and cocktails, with unannouced guests, impromptu music and art sessions, and a 3D art installation by a collective of Miami’s finest artists.
If you're more into artists at work than work of arts, if you'd love to meet them and exchange about anything and everything rather than waiting in line for a glimpse of a framed painting, Basel House is definitely a place for you.
This is where artists come and go to meet fellow creators but also have enjoy discussions with their public, and rejoice them with unique live art performances.
This year, scheduled live art includes work from eclectic street artists such as Muro1, who's made a name for himself with gigantic and colorful murals, Columbian-born and NY-based Hermes Berrio and his signature eye-popping graffitis, or Equadorian graphist Apitatan and his cheery cartoony characters.

This year Basel House presents a culinary "art battle" called Canvas Cakes, with artists like Didi, Hermes Berrio, Jon Lee, and Jona Cerwinske, and will unveil Jona Cerwinske’s latest art piece which is bouund to become a permanent installation at the Bitter Truth bar.
