South Beach Wine & Food Festival celebrates 15 years (Feb 24-28)
The South Beach Wine & Food Festival, one of the country's foremost culinary event, is returning to Miami for the pleasure of food enthusiasts and to celebrate its 15th anniversary, from Wednesday, February 24 through Sunday, February 28, 2016, at South Beach between 10th and 13th Streets off Ocean Drive.
This year, the South Beach Wine & Food Festival will also be celebrating the 10th birthday of the famed Burger Bash which will be hosted by Rachael Ray and will set the best burger cooks of the country together to compete on Friday, February 26.
The 2016 South Beach Wine & Food Festival will also introduce a new fest within the fest called the Taste Fort Lauderdale Series, a series of events and exclusive dinner experiences at various locations and restaurants in Fort Lauderdale.
Starting Wednesday, February 24, the Taste Fort Lauderdale Series will be set in motion by Robert Irvine (Seaside Eats) at the historic Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, and will feature renowned culinary VIPs such as Todd English, Debi Mazar & Gabriele Corcos, Marc Vetri, Robert Curry, and Paul Lemieux.
The Taste Fort Lauderdale Series will be concluded by a Bloody Mary Brunch at The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, February 28, presented by Ted Allen and the cast of The Food Network's famous culinary TV Show "Chopped".
Italian food rejoice, and get ready for a pasta extravaganza with 30 of the nation’s best chefs who will present the best italian-style antipasto during the Barilla’s Italian Bites on the Beach under the guidance of Giada De Laurentiis.
Meat lovers will be in heaven again at this year's Meatopia, hosted by Michael Symon (Creekstone Farms) on Saturday, February 27. More than 25 chefs will be on hand to celebrate food writer Josh Ozersky's carnivory vision.
Asian food fans will also make sure not to miss the Lucky Chopsticks, An Asian Night Market as host Andrew Zimmern will host one of the closing events of the SOBEWFF on Sunday, February 28.
