One of Florida’s most popular destinations, the John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC) tells the epic story of the U.S. space program – from the first day through the present.

The 70-acre arena, a gateway to a working space center, takes visitors on a journey that’s both entertaining and educational, interactive and inspirational.

There are thousands of exciting things to explore. Visitors can stand nose-to-nose with the real Space Shuttle Atlantis and witness an actual rocket launch in person. Astronaut Encounter gives you the opportunity to meet a veteran astronaut in real life.

The Apollo/Saturn V Center features an actual Saturn V moon rocket. There’s much more: 3D IMAX® space films, Exploration Space®: Explorers Wanted and many other interactive exhibits.

INSIDER TRAVEL TIPS

  • Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is open year-round, seven days per week. The Visitor Complex opens at 9 am and closing time varies per season.
  • Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is located near Orlando and Daytona Beach. Locate the Visitor Complex with GPS by inputting Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Do not use Kennedy Space Center as it will direct you to an incorrect location. You may also find the Visitor Complex with GPS coordinates, 28o31'34.10"N and 80o40'45.12"W.
  • Kennedy Space Complex is a full-day experience, so plan on spending 6-8 hours.
  • General Bus Tours are included in daily admission and start at 10 am. Buses depart continuously every 15 minutes throughout the day.
  • Parking spaces are available for motorcycles, cars and oversized vehicles. Parking is paid at the parking booth(s) at time of entry.
  • Daily tours are approximately 2 hours in length. The last tour daily departs at 3:30 pm. Bus schedule subject to change due to rocket launches, special events and weather. Call (866) 737.5235 for more information, 8 am - 6 pm EDT.
