The world-renowned flamenco dancer Farruquito will headline the Miami Flamenco Festival 2016 that will feature some the best contemporary flamenco artists from Thursday, March 2, through Sunday, March 13, 2016 at The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.

Heir of the legendary Los Farruco dynasty, Juan Manuel Fernandez Montoya aka Farruquito will present a brand new show aptly called Improvisao at the Knight Concert Hall on Thursday, March 3, at 8pm. "By returning to improvising, I pay tribute to the history of flamenco and to my family, who did it that way,” told Farruquito to the New York Times in a recent interview.

If you love flamenco but can't make it to see Farruquito on stage, many other worthy artists are on this year's Flamenco Festival program. Renowned master of classical and flamenco guitar Vicente Amigo will open the festival on Wednesday, March 2 (8pm), while acclaimed choregrapher and flamenco dancer Manuel Liñán will bring it to its end with Nómada, a show cating six dancers, three singers and two guitarists, on Sunday, March 13 (8pm) at the Zifft Ballet Opera House.
