3rd Annual Miami Beach Jazz Festival kicks off January 25, 2016

Miami Beach Jazz Festival (MBJF) will kick off its 3rd consecutive edition with a much anticipated show and masterclass featuring the Australian trumpet living legend James Morrison on Monday January 25, 2016 at the Olympia Theater.

This year's will present workshops and masterclasses within the Miami Beach Jazz Academy, a music teaching program for international students (13 and older) from all over the world under the teaching of world-class jazz artists.

Legendary Australian trumpeter James Morrison will give the first masterclass at Miami's Wolfsonian FIU on January 25. From Thursday January 28 to Thursday January 29, students from the Miami International University of Art and Design will have a one-in--lifetime to record their own music with famed artists from the festival.

The 2016' Miami Beach Jazz Festival will close on Saturday, January 30, 2016, with an "International Sound of Jazz" concert that will take place at 7pm at the Olympia Theater, featuring the following international lineup of acclaimed jazz artists and bands:

  • Daniel Zamir (Israel/Latvia)
  • Philippe Leoge (France)
  • Markus Gotschlich Trio (USA/Austria)
  • Joe Carter Trio (USA/Brazil)
  • James Morrison (Australia)
